I’m Jessie, an illustrator based in Cornwall. I’ve been doing this for, like, a really long time and I have finally found my creative voice. I illustrate different views from a magical world, usually showing real, deep human emotion in a magical way. My style is very much storybook realism, whimsical, clean and timeless.
I lost my mum suddenly almost a year ago, and have pouring my grief in to a series a Kindness Cards. A set of 32 postcards from this world I’m building, hand painted, and each a glimmer, an offering, of unconditional love and reassurance. The world we’re in needs much more love and kindness.
I’m mummy to a toddler, a goldie and a super fluffy cat, along with my husband, my little family is everything to me. Creativity is like breathing, and I feel genuinely lucky to have this part of me that I love so much. Seriously, I couldn’t describe it as anything other than pure magic!
